  • Choose a company that has goods in transit insurance to protect you should anything go horribly wrong.

  • Give them a call and see what their customer service is like. If you are doing a full house move, we always recommend that you request they come and do a house visit rather than a price over the phone as it could easily go up on the day.

  • Request a written quotation, again the more professional companies should provide a inventory list for each room of your house so you know what is included.

  • To save between 30 and 50% of the move costs, make sure everything is packed in boxes ready for the move, this will help enormously. To save even more, get everything dismantled and on the ground floor. Obviously you will need to let the removal company know what you will be doing so they can price accordingly.
